Frequently Asked Questions

We pay 75 USD per bag of books that we are able to fill with your books/boxes of books (see below). These bags are 34in x 34in x 34in in size. When we arrive to pick up your books and pay you on the spot. Book pickups are free of charge.

We will only do pickups for 10 boxes of books or more at this time

Our team currently situated Boston/North Shore Area.

We do book pickups:

  • anywhere within a 50 mile radius of Boston
  • anywhere within a 50 mile radius of Salem NH.

YES! We accept CDs and DVDs as well and will pay cash for those as well!

We only take books that:

  • are in Like New/Very Good/Good Condition
  • have an ISBN number/ or barcode 

  • ISBNs were introduced to almost all books  that were published/printed after 1970, if your book was published after 1970 it most likely will have an ISBN
  • An ISBN can be found on the back cover of most books in either the form of a barcode, or sometimes it will just be printed back there
  • If there is no ISBN there, you can almost always find the book’s ISBN in the first few pages normally printed on the page just before or after the title page
  • There is a difference between SSNs and ISBNs, if a book has an SSN Or Library or Congress catalog number, it means the book is too old for us and we can not accept it

What We Do Not Accept:

  • Any books with highlighting on the inside
  • Any books where the covers/pages are partially ripped torn off
  • Books with noticeable bends/ creases on the outside cover 
  • Smaller (mass market paperback books)
  • Books in Wet, Poor, or Rough conditions 
  • Books that smell of Mold, Mildew, or Smoke
  • Books where the edges/spine are falling apart/not in tact
  • Mass Market paperbacks (smaller fiction books with a barcode on the inside over normally)
  • Encyclopedia Sets
  • National Geographic Magazines
  • Library discards with excessive stamps/markings on the cover/inside of the books

At this time, we are not accepting:

  • VCR cassettes
  • Vinyl Records 

Every book you drop off will be put to good use. Our goal is to get your books into the hands of people that want to read them as soon as humanly possible.  Most of our book donations will be utilized by programs that will put your books for a good cause

For the select few books we receive that are in unusually high demand will be sold online to ensure we get them to someone who is actively look to read it as soon as possible.

  • People looking to downsize 
  • Excess Church, Library, Thrift Store donations 
  • College students, Teachers, Schools, Universities looking to get rid of unwanted/outdated textbooks 
  • People looking to free up extra space in their home/apartment/garage/storage unit
